The Downtown Las Vegas nightlife scene is getting a breath of fresh air as Dirtybird newcomers Wood Holly, Sage Armstrong, and Dateless take over Place on 7th for the third edition of SoundYard this Sat., Sept. 10 at 8 p.m.
SoundYard, a monthly event series by local event promotions company Momentus, highlights dance music’s rising stars and offers a much more laid back vibe than the glitzy clubs of the Strip.
This weekend’s dance party will feature a special headlining back-to-back set by Wood Holly and Sage Armstrong. Known for creating tracks with booty-popping basslines like their collaboration “Ass Out,” the two artists are natural fits for Dirtybird’s infectious and funky underground sound.
Also taking the stage is Dateless, who burst on to the scene with support from the record label’s founder Claude Vonstroke after being discovered via the record label’s demo page. The Los Angeles native brings an upbeat groove influenced by the sounds of Latin America to his productions.
Place on 7th, situated on the corner of 7th Street and Fremont, has become Downtown Las Vegas’ newest hot spot. The venue is part lounge and part backyard party featuring life-sized beer pong, jenga and chess, perfect for socializing, as well as a spacious outdoor stage where weekend revelers can show off their best moves.
Arrive early as local talents Witchez, Sam V, and 530 heat up the night with performances starting when doors open at 8 p.m.
SoundYard is a 21+ event. Tickets for Saturday’s show are now on sale. Pre-sales start at $15 and will be $20 at the door.
