Motorcyle stunt planned for Omnia Dayclub grand opening Sunday

Omnia Dayclub & Skybar at Caesars Palace officially opens this weekend, and its grand opening celebration will feature a motorcycle stunt that’s a classic “only in Vegas” moment.

Colby Raha, a 12-time X Games medalist, will try to break his own record for the highest motorcycle jump of 100 vertical feet at the resort’s front fountains. The attempt is planned for 2 p.m. this Sun., May 17.

Evel Knievel attempted a similar stunt on New Year’s Eve 1967 when he tried to fly 141 feet over the Caesars Palace fountains, but fell a foot short before crashing.

The dayclub opening and motorcyle jump coincide with the 60th year of operation for Caesars Palace. It also falls in the middle of EDC Week — one of the busiest weekend of the year for nightlife venues in Las Vegas.

Martin Garrix will perform on Sunday afternoon after the stunt. Other opening weekend performers include Fisher on Friday and Rufus du Sol on Saturday.

The Strip-facing Omnia Dayclub spans over 46,000-square feet and is connected by a dedicated foot bridge to Omnia Nightclub. It features two main pools, two plunge pools, cabanas, booths, chairs, and a DJ platform.

Other resident artists include Tiesto, Zedd, Alesso, Chris Lake, Steve Aoki, Afrojack, Deorro, Elderbrook, and more.

The full Omnia Dayclub schedule thus far can be found here.
