DJ and Producer Kygo is partnering with Tao Group Hospitality to open the newest dayclub experience in Las Vegas in 2025.
Taking over the former Wet Republic space, Palm Tree Beach Club will open at MGM Grand this May.
Tao Group Hospitality Co-CEO Jason Strauss described the venue as “Beverly-Hills-meets-Palm-Springs with a youthful country club touch,” in an interview with Variety. The 60,000-square-foot venue will feature a ground-level stage, salt water pool, 12 bungalows and 10 cabanas, along with daybeds and chaise lounges accommodating a capacity of 3,000 guests.
This will be the first dayclub in Vegas backed by a DJ themselves, inspired by Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville brand and country music stars like Blake Shelton and Jason Aldean, who run their own restaurants and live music venues on the Strip.
Palm Tree Crew was founded by Kygo and his manager Myles Shear. It began as an apparel company selling Palm Tree t-shirts and necklaces, and later evolved into a live event business and festival brand. Palm Tree music festivals have been hosted in Sydney, Southern California, St. Barts, The Hamptons, Oahu, and Aspen. Palm Tree Beach Club is meant to be a permanent home for the boutique, festival-style experience.

Kygo is the venue’s first announced resident artist, having previously performed at Wynn Nightlife venues for the past eight years. His first Las Vegas show, however, was at Tao Group’s Marquee Dayclub at Cosmopolitan before performing an acoustic set at the grand opening of restaurant Beauty and Essex.
The full list of Palm Tree Beach Club resident artists and the official opening date will be announced in the coming weeks.
Wet Republic was originally opened in 2008 by Angel Management Group and later sold to Hakkasan Group, who was eventually acquired by Tao Group. Both Wet Republic and Tao Beach at Venetian are known as pioneers of the Vegas dayclub experience. During its last season in 2024, resident artists included Martin Garrix, Alesso, Steve Aoki, Lil Jon, Loud Luxury, and more.
