Pre-EDC ‘World Party Parade’ set for Thursday on Las Vegas Strip

A new party is coming to the Las Vegas Strip to kick off the 30th anniversary of Electric Daisy Carnival, and this one’s free and open to all ages.

Set for 6 p.m. on Thurs., May 14, World Party Parade will take over a section of Las Vegas Boulevard to “celebrate love, unity, and dance music culture.”

The celebration will feature over 30 art cars equipped with large-scale sound systems, DJs, and hundreds of colorful performers. The parade runs from Genting Boulevard at Resorts World to Sahara Ave at Sahara Hotel & Casino. The route passes by Circus Circus, Fontainebleau, Peppermill, Hilton Grand Vacations Club, Sahara, and Resorts World Las Vegas.

“World Party Parade is unlike anything we’ve done before,” said Insomniac Founder Pasquale Rotella in a press release. “Bringing people together to celebrate dance music culture right on the Las Vegas Strip through a music parade is something we’ve dreamed about for a long time.”

“Opening this up as a free experience means more people can be part of it and feel that connection, energy, and sense of community. This is about giving back to the culture, to the community, and to the city of Vegas, which has been such an important part of our journey.”

With temperatures expected in the high 90s Thursday, attendees are encouraged to drink plenty of water and bring hats, fans, sunscreen, hydration packs, and of course comfy dancing shoes.

The sold-out EDC Las Vegas 2026 kicks off on Friday at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. In addition to the festival itself, a full lineup of events are being held at 18 unique nightclubs, dayclubs, and event venues throughout Las Vegas as part of EDC Week.
