EDC Las Vegas 2020 proceeding as scheduled amidst coronavirus concerns

Insomniac Events Founder and CEO Pasquale Rotella today said plans are proceeding as scheduled to host Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) on May 15-17, 2020 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

“I am in communication with local government officials who are ready for the show, and we have new health and safety protocols to implement at this year’s EDC,” said Rotella in the post.

“I recognize this is a fluid situation and if there are any changes, I will keep you all updated with clear and accurate information.”

Rotella took to social media to update fans amidst the global COVID-19 pandemic which has led to the cancellation of numerous live music events, including Ultra Music Festival, SXSW, and Insomniac’s own Beyond Wonderland festival that was to be held in Southern California March 20 and 21 (now scheduled for June 19-20).

EDC Las Vegas tickets sold out in record time in Sept. 2019, but fans can join the waitlist for GA, GA+, and VIP passes. The 2020 lineup was announced less than three weeks ago.

EDC Week events are also expected to go on as scheduled, at the time of this article’s publication.
