EDC plans virtual ‘rave-a-thon’ during original festival dates

Insomniac Events will host a virtual “rave-a-thon” on the originally scheduled dates of Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) Las Vegas.

Set for May 15-17, the three-day event will feature DJ performances streamed live from the Insomniac headquarters in Los Angeles.

Insomniac Founder and CEO Pasquale Rotella has been hosting a series of virtual rave-a-thons over the past several weekends, each with a specific Insomniac festival theme. Featured festivals include Escape Psycho Circus, Noctural Wonderland, Countdown NYE, HARD Summer, and Beyond Wonderland. Insomniac’s Middlelands festival (hosted in Houston, Tex. in 2017) will serve as the theme for this weekend’s (April 23-24) livestream.

The live stream can be accessed via tv.insomniac.com. Previous streams have received nearly 10 million views and reached viewers in over 100 different countries.

“Insomniac Rewind” is also airing on Youtube, giving fans the opportunity to watch archive festival footage from EDC Las Vegas, EDC Orlando, EDC Mexico, HARD Summer, and the Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival.

EDC Las Vegas was originally scheduled for May, but has been postponed to Oct. 2-4, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
