Electric Daisy Carnival announces official move to Oct. 2-4

As first reported Wednesday, Insomniac Events today announced the official postponement of Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) Las Vegas 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 10th anniversary of the Las Vegas event was scheduled for May 15-17, but will now be held Oct. 2-4, 2020. Camp EDC will begin on Thurs., Oct. 1. EDC Week 2020 events are presumed to be shifted to Sept. 30 through Oct. 7.

The announcement came from Insomniac Founder and CEO Pasquale Rotella on social media this afternoon. Rotella had been cautious to postpone the event up to this point, but assured fans earlier that at a 30-day notice would be given to allow attendees to change travel arrangements.

“Nothing changes but the date,” said Rotella in the post, insinuating that the artist lineup and other details will remain the same.

“The team and I took every single factor into consideration: weather, hotel rates, talent availability, coordination with the Speedway and local officials, and most importantly, a date that would give us enough time for things to get back to normal so we can all come back stronger than ever.”

For fans that can’t attend, ticket refunds can be requested at edclasvegas.com/support.
