Richie Hawtin brings ‘From Our Minds’ tour to Vegas March 15

Techno pioneer Richie Hawtin is launching an eight-city tour this month, including a stop in Las Vegas on Wed., March 15.

The ‘From Our Minds’ tour stop features a headline performance by Hawtin, but will also showcase some of techno’s rising underground talent including Barbosa, Jay York, and Lindsey Herbert.

The tour is working with independent promoters to host shows at intimate warehouse locations, which — in true ’90s fashion — will be revealed to ticket buyers on the day of the show.

‘From Our Minds’ is a nod to Hawtin’s Plus 8 record label and its ‘From Our Minds to Yours’ slogan.

“Since starting my first label +8 in 1990, it’s always been important for me to help nurture, develop and promote new like-minded artists,” said Hawtin in a press release.

“Today with the ever-growing popularity and globalization of Techno, it’s critical to collaborate with the next generation, learning from one another and pushing forward together with open-minded curiosity.”

This tour is an evolution of Hawtin’s CNTRL tours in 2012 and 2015, where he stopped through American college cities with the goal of educating a new generation of electronic music enthusiasts on the sound and origin of techno. He did so through a series of performances, lectures, and workshops.

The ‘From Our Minds’ tour kicks off in Detroit on Fri., March 10, and makes stops in Toronto, Vancouver, San Francisco, Phoenix, and Los Angeles before wrapping up in San Diego on March 19.

Elation is promoting the March 15 event in Vegas, which is open to ages 21+. Tickets are available here.
