Theme revealed for EDC Las Vegas 2020

Pasquale Rotella, Insomniac Events founder and CEO, has revealed the theme for this year’s Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) Las Vegas, set for May 15-17 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The “kineticZEN” theme will focus on mindfulness and the importance of finding focus and balance.

“In our hyperconnected world, it’s easy to get distracted from making time to care for our minds, our bodies, and things that feed the soul,” said Rotella in an Instagram post.

“Anything that fuels our focus and helps us achieve balance is our zen. For some people, that could be dancing, working out, going for a bike ride or a long drive, or just chilling on the beach and taking in a beautiful sunset. Life is full of opportunities for reflection, and in those moments we can visualize the world we want to create for ourselves and for each other.”

The theme for EDC is best manifested in the design of Kinetic Field, the festival’s main stage. Past themes include kineticCATHEDRAL for sonic worship in 2014; a Crystal Village inhabited by owl guardians in 2015; a kineticTEMPLE of sacred sounds in 2016; the open arms of Mother Earth, kineticGAIA in 2017; the epicenter of universal love, kineticLOVE in 2018; and kineticENERGY for nature always in motion in 2019.

EDC Las Vegas tickets sold out in record time in September 2019, but fans can join the waitlist for GA, GA+, and VIP passes.

Last week, official EDC shuttle information was announced, and the EDC lineup is expected to be revealed via Night Owl Radio on Thurs., Feb. 20.
