EDMbiz — Insomniac’s own conference focusing on the business of dance music — today revealed the first wave of speakers and panelists scheduled to appear at the third annual event, set for June 17-19 at the Cosmopolitan Hotel of Las Vegas.
Hardwell and Above & Beyond have been confirmed as two of the keynote speakers throughout the three-day event.
Other focused sessions will dive into many relevant issues including mergers & acquisitions and investment with the“The 6.2 Billion Dollar Business: Does Size Matter?” panel, talent representation and booking with “Meet The Windish Agency” and the “State of the Label: The Art of Selling Music” panel focusing on the record business today.
The curriculum will also feature a new EDM consumer report “Engaging The Electronic Music Listener” from Tatiana Oliveira Simonian, Head of Branded Music Entertainment at Nielsen; a “#20Something” panel curated by Jake Udell, manager of Krewella, focusing on up and coming music executives; and “The Third Annual EDMbiz Artist Panel.”
This year’s installment will expand to include a full-scale expo featuring EDM culture’s most sought-after music and lifestyle brands.
KCRW’s Music Director Jason Bentley will return to host the event.
Registration is open to the public, starting at $429 for individuals and $249 for students.
EDMbiz is part of a long list of EDC Week events surrounding Electric Daisy Carnival’s sold-out return to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway June 20-22.
Conference attendees are treated to complimentary entrance to a handful of nightclub parties throughout the week.
