Kaos at Palms Casino Resort opens this week with Marshmello, Skrillex, Kaskade, and more

A massive addition to Vegas nightlife — Kaos Nightclub and Kaos Dayclub at Palms Casino Resort  — opens its doors this week.

Since news first broke in January, Kaos has been building a jaw-dropping roster of A-list resident artists, including Marshmello, Kaskade, Deadmau5, Above & Beyond, Skrillex, Armin van BuurenEric PrydzBreathe Carolina, Brooks, Cardi B, Cheat Codes, DJ Politik, G-Eazy, J. Balvin, Jauz, Ozuna, Slushii, Southside, and Vice. Marshmello’s two-year deal alone is reportedly worth a record-breaking $60 million.

This grand opening weekend will feature performances by Marshmello, Kaskade, Skrillex, Cardi B, G-Eazy, J Balvin, Vice, and Zac Brown Band (see schedule below).

Aside from talent, Kaos is set to make history with some of the most impressive production and technology in Las Vegas.

“We’re not necessarily competing with nightlife,” said Ronn Nicolli, Senior Vice President of Creative Strategy at Kaos, in an interview with Las Vegas Weekly. “It’s like we’re competing with festivals.”

The 29,000-square-foot nightclub and 73,000-square-foot dayclub will feature a 360-degree rotating DJ booth, allowing artists to perform to both indoor and outdoor crowds. A six-part custom Tesla coil above the dance floor has the ability to “play” a song by changing pitch, length, and direction via MIDI controls. LED screens will show graphics generated in real-time based on sounds inside the space.

Claiming the largest number of pools of any resort in North America, Kaos Dayclub features a towering 60-foot bronze sculpture by Damien Hirst and the largest LED wall in Las Vegas, running the full 270-foot height of Ivory Tower. Two main pools and numerous side pools are surrounded by 39 cabanas with private pools and self-controlled sound systems.

The dayclub holds up to 5,000 guests and has a seasonal dome, allowing pool parties to continue year-round.

For high-rollers, a number of specialized experiences are offered, such as “Kaos Theory.” The $1 million package includes a three-night stay in the Damien Hirst “Emapthy Suite” — claimed as the most expensive suite built in the world — with multiple rare large format bottles of Ace of Spades and Dom Perignon.

Other over-the-top experiences include personalized champagne valet service starting at $6,000, a takeover of the giant LED for $50,000, and the opportunity to fire water cannons in the pool for $100,000.

The unveiling of Kaos is the final part of a $690 million total renovation of Palms Casino Resort by Station Casinos, which acquired the 17-year-old property in 2016.
